What to Bring
This year’s Open Minds Experience will see students taking part in a variety of adventurous activities in the beautiful surroundings of Aragon’s mountains. Students should be prepared to embrace the landscape and the endless opportunities for education and exploration that it provides. To ensure students’ maximum enjoyment of the trip, preparing for the environment is essential. The sierra de Guara sits on the boundary between the warm and dry Mediterranean climate to the east and the wetter climate to the north and west. It is however nestled in the rain shadow of the Pyrenees meaning that warm, dry weather is common, even in winter. This said, as with any mountain environment, we must always be prepared for anything the elements may throw at us.
