COVID-19 UPDATE: MARCH 2021

According to the current covid-19 roadmap, all UK restrictions on large events such as ours will be lifted in June, making us confident that our 2021 Open Minds course will go ahead as planned.

This is subject to change in accordance with government guidelines. As such, we will be as flexible as possible should your plans change and will be offering full refunds, including the deposit, on any cancellations up until 30 June 2021. We will also do our best to help students to meet any further travel restrictions that may be in place for those travelling from abroad.

Module Two: Sensory Maps

Note this is only a guide, not a guarantee.

Module Two: Sensory Maps

In this module we will be looking at how sensory mapping can help us to expand our ideas around the politics of space.

We will look at the revolutionary movement of The Situationists, who were committed to exploring ways to expose the often unnoticed and alienating effects of the modern city and find ways of resisting it. For The Situationists, this involved giving up habitual, everyday movements through an environment who instead tried to move through the city with a responsiveness to their surroundings.

In the next few activities, you will be encouraged to take inspiration from The Situationists and explore your environment in new ways.
