Al-Rashid Scholarship
Marlborough College Open Minds is committed to nurturing a truly global student body with the largest diversity of perspectives and backgrounds possible. As part of this objective, in 2020 we will be providing a limited number of scholarship opportunities for refugee teenagers living in the UK. This not only represents a fantastic opportunity for the successful applicants to join the course but will also be of immense benefit to the wider Open Minds student group.
The scholarship's patron, Ahmad Al-Rashid, was a huge part of the success of the inaugural year of the Open Minds course. Himself a refugee from Syria, he visited Marlborough to share his story and made a tremendous impact on the students. We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Ahmad to develop a scholarship scheme in his name that will create a life-changing experience for all students attending the course.
If you would like to find out more about Ahmad and his work with the Open Minds course, you can have a look at our PREVIOUS GUESTS page.
